Clear Brilliant

At SBA Dermatology & Plastic Surgery, our main objectives include reversing sun damage, reducing the signs of aging, and, of course, helping you look and feel your best! Clear+Brilliant® falls under all of these categories. It is a fractional laser skin resurfacing treatment performed at our Houston office on the face, neck, chest, arms, or hands. This treatment creates microchannels in the skin, allowing it to heal itself from the inside out, and falls in between a more aggressive Fraxel re:store®, and a milder treatment like a microdermabrasion. On its own, Clear+Brilliant is considered a fantastic and easy starter laser for patients who are just beginning to see the effects of aging. It is also often recommended as maintenance for some of the more aggressive lasers recommended in the practice.

Clear+Brilliant helps improve the look and feel of your skin from your very first treatment. It also helps stimulate collagen production over time, thus correcting and preventing the signs of aging. Since it is a great starter laser for patients looking to obtain a healthy glow with little downtime, we recommend this treatment in a series for optimal results. Ideal candidates are individuals that are just starting to see the signs of aging such as enlarged pores, wrinkles, slight volume loss or dull skin. Clear+Brilliant can give you back your youthful glow in 6 quick 30-minute appointments spaced approximately 2 weeks apart. Since the laser is creating microscopic channels that promote healing from the inside out, your treatment can be combined with topical skincare products to enhance your cosmetic goals.

Clear+Brilliant is mild enough that it can treat pigmentation (melasma) safely with the use of the proprietary handpiece called Perméa™. This handpiece ensures that the laser goes to the exact depth to help the trapped pigmentation be removed while not stimulating the production of additional pigmentation. Depending on your pigmentation, your treatment may be combined with hydroquinone to help enhance your treatment results.
