Why did you decide to become a dermatologist?

I was always interested in science as a young student, which led to medical school and during medical school I was drawn to dermatology! It is the one specialty that combined all of the best aspects of other specialties such as pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, oncology and geriatrics into one rewarding clinical specialty.

Where did you go to school?

I went to the University of Maryland for my BSN in Zoology and then attended Tulane University for Medical school and residency.

Where are you from originally?

I was born in Washington D.C. and raised in the Maryland suburbs.

What are your favorite aspects of dermatology?

I love the ability to treat patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

What would you consider your “style” of practicing?

I would describe my style as thorough but friendly and laid back.

Do you have a motto you love or live by?

“Enjoy today because tomorrow is promised to no one.”

When you are not working hard as a dermatologist where would we find you?

In one of Houston’s parks either running or riding bikes with my kids!

What’s your favorite restaurant in Houston?

Wow, that is a really hard question because there is so many great restaurants! I would have to say right now it is Eunice!
